Kinner  K-5

The 1929 Kinner K-5 was produced by the Kinner Airplane & Motor Corporation in Glendale, California.   The model K-5 is a five cylinder radial air-cooled four-cycle engine.   It is rated at 90 horsepower by the United States Department of Commerce and manufactured under Approved Type Certificate Number 3.  At 1900 R.P.M. it develops 115 horsepower at sea level.   The bore is 4 1/4 inches and stroke is 5 1/4 inches making the total piston displacement 372 cubic inches with a compression ratio of 5.0 to 1.   The engine weighs 268 pounds less propeller, hub and accessories.
